BUTTERFLY RESTPOINT
LETS MAKE THE
CITY BLOOM AGAIN
Monoculture, urbanization, and the concomitant lack of biodiversity that this brings along, affects the entire planet. This includes not only us humans, but also many other species.
The butterfly for example, needs
places to rest. Without these periods of resting, the butterfly can get underfed and has chances of dying and extend.
Several functions of these restpoints include
a place where they can feed from the
nectar, rest, lay eggs and transform
into beautiful butterflies.
The rest points will be provided with everything the butterflies need. Once the restpoints are placed at several points around the cities in the Netherlands, the butterflies will be able to travel freely through the country.
The cocoon will attract like a butterfly effect many more species and will let the city will bloom again :)
EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED
The Wooden Cocoon is like a biodiversity centre, all of the planters are connected so they can work together as one.
All of the plants and flowers that are working in this biodiversity cocoon will work together to let the butterflies rest, lay eggs, cocoon and transform into beautiful butterflies :)
COCOON TRANSFORMATION
The cocoon can transform into different ways to place it on the spots in the city. It can transform into a corner cocoon, rooftop half cocoon and a whole one witch can be put in city parks or on a wall :)
